PROCEDURE:
1. Prior to the class make several picture packages which consists of:
Then create a script to read to the class which corresponds with the pictures and headlines.
2. Divide the class into groups of 5-6 depending on the class size and distribute the picture packages.
3. As the ALT reads the script slowly, the groups have to match the headlines with the appropriate pictures.
4. Read the script again so groups can double-check their answers.
5. The first group that has correctly placed the pictures and headlines together wins.
NOTES:
My topic for this activity was about Thailand. I was able to scan and copy the colour pictures at 7-11. However, you could use this activity for different topics and it doesn't necessarily have to be about your vacation. After this activity I gave a quiz in which the students guessed the answer to basic facts about Thailand and the students with the highest score got a prize.
