| GRADE LEVEL: | Special Education |
| SKILLS: | Listening, speaking |
| TIME: | Fifteen minutes |
| MATERIALS: | A set of cards with animals on – two of each |
| OBJECTIVES: | To practice asking and answering to ‘What’s your favorite animal? |
| | To revise names of animals |
PROCEDURE:
1. You are basically playing pairs. Place the cards face down on the table. Take it in turns to turn over two cards. If the cards match the player has another go. When the cards aren’t matching the group asks them ‘What’s your favorite animal/food?’ They answer ‘I like…’ then say one of the cards they have turned over.
NOTES:
You can replace animals with food, sport, school subjects etc. This is a good game for small sized groups.
