TIME: | 15-20mins. |
MATERIALS: | CD player, CD, MD or tape of different animal sounds. Please ensure that the recording of the animals is the English version (Meow, meow and not nyaa, nyaa. Cock-a-doodle-doo and not kokekokko, baa ,baa and not mee, mee).The CD must be audible for students to understand.The worksheet should consist of 5-10 questions. Each question on the worksheet should have a picture of 3 or more animals. (See example) |
OBJECTIVE: | To review and practice target vocabulary (in this case animal sounds) |
PROCEDURE:
1. The CD is played twice and for the more difficult animal sounds. I play it three times.
2. They listen carefully and circle the correct animal for each question.
3. You may repeat the animal sounds for all the questions. Except in this case you play the recording once for each question.
4. Group activity:Each group is given a worksheet . They would listen to the CD and as a group they choose the correct animal. Points are allotted for each correct answer.
